Amidst the all concrete, the high rise hotels and the commercialism that Myrtle Beach has to offer, a little slice of peace, tranquility and nature has taken shape in what is the only parcel of land in Cherry Grove that has not fallen victim to the developer's bulldozers!
Located just adjacent to the public boat ramp at 53rd St is the entrance to Heritage Shores Nature Preserve. It took a couple years to bring this project to fruition, but it was well worth the wait. Our hats off and our thanks to Marilyn Hatley, Mayor of the City of North Myrtle Beach who was instrumental in many phases of this project. It is a wonderful testament to those who believe in setting aside a beautiful parcel of land like this for the public use and enjoyment.
